Ceramic Courses in my Garden Studio, Warwick
Workshop at Market Hall Museum, Warwick

‘Poetry on Porcelain’

Wednesday 27th February – 7 – 9 & Wednesday 13th March – 7 – 9

Lots of fun – suitable for beginners and people who have done ceramics before, or who are interested in nature or poetry, or both!

We will be making porcelain tiles and decorating them with ideas drawn from the museum’s collection of fossils, butterflies, dinosaurs, etc as well as lines of poetry – using two different techniques – ‘sgraffito’, scratching or incising and ‘mishima’ – a Japanese word for inlaying. It will be both absorbing and relaxing, I hope!

Saturdays 2 – 4.30 pm; starting again 19th January 2019 (in my garden studio)

A six-week ceramic workshop course – fee: £160. Suitable for beginners or intermediate. Opportunity to work on the wheel as well as making slab vessels and plaques. Different methods of decoration will be explored including slip trailing, sgraffito and wax resist.

Other dates maybe available. Maximum number of students is 4, so book early!
